As the founder of an emotional AI, I have spent the last few years developing technology that can better understand human emotions and support people in their daily lives. The first time I saw our AI accurately analyze and respond to a user's emotions was a revealing moment, both personally and professionally.

After a period of intense stress, this type of technology is able to capture, through texts, voice and behavior, signals that even those close to us had not necessarily perceived. This experiment confirmed the extraordinary potential of emotional prediction: far from being intrusive, it can be a real support in our daily and professional lives.

Anticipation in the service of well-being

Watching people burn out under pressure, often without even realizing it, creates a snowball effect that leads to overall burnout in 90% of cases. With predictive analytics technologies, identifying these critical moments before they become problematic becomes possible and offers a new image to AI as a whole. Imagine a manager who can perceive that a member of his team is on the verge of burnout and intervene in time? Or a platform that detects a high level of stress and suggests an appropriate break. Fortunately, these tools do not replace humans, but they do offer us better understanding and increased power to act, with an undeniably faster speed of intervention.

AI at the service of humans, and not the other way around

AI gives way to an overflowing imagination that we even see on television. No, we are not in a science fiction world. Where some perceive a threat, these technologies allow a tremendous opportunity to improve our relationships. Through my experience of research and development in collaboration with scientists, we have worked on solutions capable of adjusting their tone and approach according to the emotions detected.

The result? Smoother, more empathetic communication, especially in environments like customer service or human resources. This type of technology doesn’t replace human intuition, of course, but it does enhance it, providing more tailored and respectful interactions.

Responsible and ethical innovation

However, these scientific advances raise crucial questions. It is certain that benevolent use requires a rigorous ethical framework: transparency on the collection and use of emotional data, absolute respect for privacy and user consent. The challenge is not to manipulate emotions, but to offer real support, personalized and respectful of each individual.

With hindsight and experience, I see this evolution as a step towards a truly human-centered technology. Emotional intelligence applied to AI does not just analyze; it understands, supports and accompanies. It allows individuals to know themselves better and improve the quality of their interactions while activating levers that we had almost forgotten in recent years: empathy, team cohesion, creativity and solidarity.

Finally, as the founder and actor of this transformation, I am convinced that emotional intelligence assisted by AI is a unique opportunity: that of building a digital world that is more attentive to our needs and, above all, more human, which can never be replaced.
